FAQ

Common questions about tenfold and your specialists

What is an AI employee?

An AI employee is a named AI agent, powered by Claude or other leading models, deployed to a dedicated container in our cloud and tuned to a job. You direct it via chat in plain language, and it works autonomously on tasks like research, outreach, writing, and ops. It's not staff you manage. It's you, multiplied.

What is the 7-Day Tenfold Challenge?

A guided week where each day your AI team does something bigger you'd normally pay a person to do. Day 1 is a win in ten minutes; by Day 7 you have a scorecard of hours saved and work shipped. You start with 1,000 credits free and no card, so you can run the first days before deciding anything. If you subscribe and you're still not convinced after seven days, we refund your subscription minus the AI spend your employees actually used, and everything they made is yours to keep.

How long does it take to get an AI employee working?

Usually 1–2 minutes. Pick a template, give it a name and tone, point it at the work, and we provision a dedicated container in the cloud. The page updates automatically when your employee is live and working.

How does credit-based billing work?

Your monthly plan includes a credit allowance: 5,000 on Starter, 20,000 on Team, 60,000 on Scale. As your employees use AI models, credits are deducted automatically based on what each model call actually costs. Your monthly allowance resets each billing period; any top-up credits you buy roll over and never expire. You can top up at any time from your billing page.

What work can an AI employee handle?

It depends on the template. A Research employee summarizes documents, pulls data, and writes briefs. An Outreach employee handles prospecting, follow-ups, and replies. A Writing employee drafts content in your voice. An Ops employee manages scheduling and correspondence. More templates are added regularly.

Can I pause or shut down an AI employee?

Yes. From the dashboard you can deprovision any employee. Deprovisioning tears down the cloud container and stops billing for it. You can also top up credits to resume a paused employee whose balance ran out.

Which AI models power your AI employees?

Claude is the default model. It offers the best balance of capability and cost. Model selection is configurable per template. All LLM calls route through our LiteLLM proxy, which enforces your credit budget and provides detailed usage logs.
